Anticipating India - an interactive book reading session
From Tue, 10 Feb 2015 3:15 PM To Tue, 10 Feb 2015 3:15 PM
Organised By: The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Mediascape
Location: Kolkata

At a time when the tides of fortune for political parties are swinging wildly, noted author and journalist Shekhar Gupta came up with a comment that clearly stumped. “Indian politicians are one of the most hard-working and talented in the world,” he remarked. Not many among the discerning audience were quite convinced though it did lead to lots of banter and injected amusement and fun in the proceedings. The occasion? The launch of Gupta’s book, ‘Anticipating India’ at the Oberoi Grand in Kolkata, put together by the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Mediascape, in association with IIFL Private Wealth. Other personalities who were present at the launch included some of the City of Joy’s favourite sons: erstwhile India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, industrialist Sanjiv Goenka, and academician and MP Sugata Bose. A book signing session by the author ended the day on a high.
